Far be it for us to carry a free jobs advert, but as it’s a charity and we know a lot of our readers are pet lovers like us, we are making an honourable exception in this case.

Dogs Trust, the UK’s largest dog welfare charity, is offering someone with property expertise to help with its Lets with Pets campaign.

Lets with Pets was set up by Dogs Trust in 2009 to help pet owners find privately rented accommodation by encouraging landlords and lettings agencies to take a ‘Pets Considered’ approach.

Following a recent study conducted by Dogs Trust, which found that pet owners often struggle to find rental accommodation, the charity is now looking to recruit a development and relationship coordinator, who will use their understanding of the residential lettings process to promote the Lets with Pets campaign to the wider lettings industry.

Clare Kivlehan, who runs the Lets with Pets scheme at Dogs Trust, said: “As this is the only role of its kind in the UK, this presents a unique opportunity for someone to use their business skills to help shape the rental market in a lasting way and make a difference to the lives of people and their pets.”

Based at the charity’s head office in Islington, London, the role will require extensive travel across the UK. This is a full-time 12-month fixed-term contract.

Closing date is Friday, November 25, at 5pm.
