Gibbs Gillespie has been named the UK’s Best Lettings Agent.

Its latest win, at the Landlord & Letting Awards, crowns a year that has seen the agency scoop ten industry awards.

These include three awards at the Sunday Times Lettings Awards, where Gibbs Gillespie won Gold for Best Small Lettings Agent in the South-East, and for Best Customer Service, and Silver for Best Training & Development.

In October, Gibbs Gillespie’s mortgage broking subsidiary, The Mortgage and Insurance Bureau, won the Best Newcomer Award at the annual Mortgage Intelligence Awards.

Paul Gillespie, founding partner, said: “To win ten high-profile and prestigious awards in a single year is a fantastic achievement and testament to the hard work and dedication of what I regard as the best estate agency and mortgage team in the country.

“We have undertaken a remarkable journey in our business over the last year. This has involved significant investment and change, and has resulted in our revenues and profits increasing significantly.

“Our service delivery has also reached new industry-leading levels.

“Our story is one of which we are very proud.”

@ a very good agent - you just put it into perspective. This is a big back patting exercise. Have loads of local agents who call themselves voted best for this that and the other. Trouble is nobody has heard for the bodies who give out the awards.

Think I will just go out and award myself the gold, platignum silver and bronze medals for best EA in my town.

    There that was easy!

Anyone else who wants the same awards just let me know with a comment of yes please and you will be duly awarded - unless you are a corporate who only qualify for the wooden spoon.

Please can someone tell the Times and all the other rags.

One thing that most people are not aware of is that all this involves is a telephone interview, bit of a joke really.
