Groundbreaking estate agency software company Spa Microsystems has been sold.
The company created waves when it launched Aspasia in 2001 as the first internet-based IT system for UK agents whether working in sales or lettings and management.
The buyer of all 100% of shares in Berkshire-based SPA, for an undisclosed amount, is Qube Global Software. Managing director Trevor Youens will continue in his role, along with all staff members.
John Cuppello, CEO of Qube Global Software, said: “This acquisition represents a continuation of our strategy to offer a complete range of software solutions to the whole of the property and facilities management industry.
“Aspasia is completely web developed and will fit perfectly into our range of cloud-based offerings.”
Founder Stewart Anderson, who is retiring along with his wife Lesley, said: “We have been looking for the right buyer for over a year and we are delighted that Qube has been successful.
“Qube has exactly the right mixture of experience and capability to take Aspasia forward.
“They will offer our customers complete continuity of service and support, and they also have the resource and expertise to develop the product further.”
Qube Global Software, which has offices in the UK, US, Asia and Middle East, already supplies property and facilities management software under labels including Horizon and Planet.

I don't think it's pricey. I've been using a system that is a little cheaper for 7 years but it's old fashioned, c drive based and clunky and unstable. By the time Aspasia is up and running in my offices I think it will save me at least one member of staff and so I can't agree that it's pricey!
Never heard of it, just looked at their site and my lord it's pricey!
