Well done to West Yorkshire agents Maxwells, who sourced the location for a scary new film.

Production company Mod Scientists are renting Kirklands House in Baildon as the location for a spine-tingler to be called Heretic. It’s a ghost story which will be released for Halloween.

Bev Maxwell, of Maxwells Residential, said: “The producers only needed the property for one month. Most letting agents and landlords are not interested in such short-term agreements, but we were very happy to help.

“With the cooperation of the current owners and some fast action on our part, we tied up a deal which was agreeable to all parties.”

Bethany Clift, from Mod Scientists, said: “The house is central to the film. It had to have the right sort of atmosphere and plenty of rooms including a basement. Once we saw the property we knew it was ideal.”

Something tells us that future residents of the place must not be of a nervous disposition and preferably won’t have seen the film.
