Lettings chain Leaders has expanded into the Cotswolds after an unusual deal with lettings and estate agency business Perry Bishop and Chambers.

Leaders has acquired the lettings business, but Perry Bishop and Chambers is retaining its sales side.

Under the terms of the deal, Leaders will trade as Perry Bishop & Leaders.

The two firms will work alongside each other from offices at Cheltenham, Cirencester, Farringdon, Nailsworth and Tetbury, in Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire.

This latest acquisition extends Leaders’ fast-growing network into new territory and takes the firm to 75 branches in 16 counties across the South-East, North-West, East Anglia and South-West.

Leaders began with just one branch in Brighton.

Leaders managing director Paul Weller said: “We were delighted to be chosen by owners Ian Perry, Philip Bishop, Peter Chambers and Sarah Benson as purchasers of their highly regarded lettings business.

“Like Leaders, Perry Bishop and Chambers have built up a strong brand identity and market share in the areas they cover, and we look forward to working alongside them in expanding the lettings side of the business while they concentrate on their core sales business.

“We are also very pleased to welcome the many Perry Bishop and Chambers lettings staff who join us. They will continue to work from their current branches to ensure a smooth transition for our new clients and will benefit from the many opportunities available to our staff in terms of training, development and career progression.

“We look forward to working with them as we build and grow Perry Bishop & Leaders in Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire.

Ian Perry, MD of Perry Bishop and Chambers, said: “Having decided it was right for our clients and staff alike to sell our lettings division, we took a great deal of care in searching for the right firm to partner with.

“Leaders share our core values of integrity, customer service and hard work, and we now look forward to working with them as we expand both brands throughout the region.’’
