Scottish property ad network Citylets has done a deal with television broadcaster STV.

The deal follows the acrimonious split between Citylets and SiHomes, Scotland’s answer to Rightmove. For ten years, Citylets acted as the vehicle by which letting agents listed their rental properties on SiHomes.

The new deal includes significant TV exposure for Citylets, plus the listing of agent properties on STV’s local sites stvglasgow.com and stvedinburgh.com.

Thomas Ashdown, Citylets founder and MD, said: “The deal with STV will result in a further step change in brand awareness for Citylets.co.uk and we’re keen to get started. Working with s1 for ten years was useful but it is time to move on and we wish them well.

“At this juncture we feel STV represents a more synergic and exciting opportunity. Their attitude to partnership and their vision for the future is a breath of fresh air and just what we need at this exciting time in new media evolution.”

Steven Walker, director of corporate development at STV, said: “We are delighted to have chosen Citylets.co.uk as our rental partner for our network of local sites.

“There were a number of options open to us but Citylets stood out with a great data set and an entrepreneurial management team.”
