A key member of the Martin & Co team is defecting to one of its rivals.

Corelia Maskell-Moseley, long-standing operations director for the North plus Wales and Northern Ireland, is taking up a new, as yet unspecified, major role with LSL – which, in its latest annual results, made clear that it is increasingly looking to its lettings operation to drive revenue.

Last year, it boosted staff headcount in its lettings business and increased revenue by 23% to £35.8m.

Maskell-Moseley, who previously worked for Sequence and Leaders, has been instrumental in helping to launch a number of new franchise offices at Martin & Co.

Ian Wilson, managing director, confirmed: “We have accepted a resignation from our operations director Corelia Maskell-Moseley.

“Corelia is taking up a very senior role with our arch rivals, LSL Property Services, owners of the Your Move and Reeds Rains brands.

“I headhunted Corelia eight years ago and have always described her as a national class lettings operator.

“Many of our current franchise owners owe a debt of gratitude to Corelia as she launched and encouraged them in the hard early days of their franchise.

“Every professional has their own career aspirations and the role of operations director at Martin & Co comes with an inherent limitation, which is, they fly solo.

“Corelia wants to manage a big team of her own staff and LSL will provide her with this platform.”

He added: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank Corelia personally for her dedication and loyalty for over eight years and I wish her well with her future endeavours.”

Out of the frying pan...... both firms just accused of breaking the law. The operations director usually carries the can for this sort of stuff.

You're not wrong Steve. Anybody know what the new role is? All sounds a bit cloak and dagger.

Good luck for the future Corelia. MAC's loss is LSL's gain.
