Stoneshaw Estates named best letting agent in UK

The best letting agent in the UK has been named as Stoneshaw Estates – with two other agents also scooping top honours.

Sewell & Gardner in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, not only picked up silver as best letting agent, but took top prize as the best estate and letting agent in the UK.

Kings Group in Tottenham, north London, picked up bronze in the best letting agent award, while their office in Walthamstow, Essex, won silver in the best estate and letting agent category. Kings Group also won best estate agent of the year, with its Harlow office.

Stoneshaw Estates, based in Dagenham, Essex, also took bronze in the best estate and letting agent category.

Belvoir and Martin & Co battled it out for the best large lettings chain, with Belvoir taking gold and Martin & Co silver.

All were among the winners at Friday’s ESTAS bash, held at the Hilton in Park Lane, London.

The sell-out lunch, attended by some 650 agents from around the country, was hosted by Phil Spencer who reminded the audience that the awards are “very difficult to win. A well written submission and some nice glossy photos of the office will not get you on the shortlist”.

The ESTAS are, he said, decided “by your harshest critic – the public”.

Supplier of the Year award went to Expert Agent, and five awards were presented to individual agents – Ben Colling, Dan Madden, David Vizard, Joanna Orchard and Maria Gliddon.
