Agents are often dab hands at taking photos – but is Photoshop perhaps best left to the specialists?

A firm called Repixl says it can’t turn water into wine but it can make grey skies look blue and kitchen work surfaces shine.

The firm can edit letting agency pictures for £4.99, with turnaround between one and 24 hours.

You can see a ‘before’ and ‘after’ sample with this story.

LAT has also arranged a free week’s trial for readers.

To claim the offer of a free week trial, register at https://repixl.com/latoday. This offer can be claimed only until 23rd July 2013 and is limited to real estate photography.

I agree altering the inside shots is risky and shouldn't be done, however, the outside shots being "brightened up" is a great idea.
Nothing wrong with enhancing the colours and replacing grey sky's for bright sky's. With a full diary and not many blue sky moments in this country it isn't always practical to pop out and take another picture on a sunny day.

It surley can't be right to artificially (using software packages) alter/enhance property photos.

What next, airbrush out that pesky lampost outside the front bedroom?

If you want blue sky photos, get the best photo you can and then go back on a blue-sky day and take a replacement photo - very dangerous to start altering them in my opinion.
