Scottish portal Citylets has announced record traffic.

It says visitors were up by 25% this January on a year ago, making last month its busiest on record.

Citylets, which parted with Digital Property Group three months ago, now hopes to break the 4m visitor barrier this year.

Thomas Ashdown, founder and MD of Citylets, said: “A 25% annual rise in traffic for Citylets is pleasing and the culmination of a lot of hard work and investment in 2012 by my team.

“We promised Scottish letting agents that we would keep growing, but 25% is well outside our most optimistic projections.”

Just under 30% of site traffic in January was from mobile devices.

Citylets is to release a new iPhone App later this month and also full search integration into its Facebook site.
