Independent agency snapped up after almost half a century

A 47-year-old south coast lettings and sales agency has been acquired by Oakfield Estate Agents.

Andrews Estate Agents first opened a branch in Hastings in 1973 - now it has offices in Bexhill and Eastbourne too, and these are all being integrated into Oakfield. 

Andrews' property management, staff team and Hastings premises have also been merged into Oakfield Estate Agents. 

Neil Newstead, the chief executive of Oakfield, says: "Our company has been established for 25 years, its growth over that time has been largely organic, stemming from the referrals of our client base. The growth and development of our team has evolved hugely over the years and we are recognised as the leading agent in this area. It is so exciting to welcome the local team, landlords and sellers to Oakfield, and we very much look forward to building new relationships with them all” 

He continues: “The current premises … at … Hastings is already undergoing a full refurbishment project and is due to be fully operational within the next two weeks, and at that time the local team in St Leonards will move into the new branch joining the existing Andrews team. Our head office in St Leonards will remain home to our property management, accounts and block management teams.”
