Connells makes bid to win Build To Rent business

Connells Group is making a bid to win business in the Build To Rent sector, launching what it calls “the UK’s most comprehensive full-service proposition for Private Rented Sector investors.”

The initiative - called Connells Living - is described as being able to “ harness the Group’s complete range of service lines to provide an unrivalled offering covering the entire asset lifecycle. The proposition includes land acquisition, planning advisory, building consultancy and project management, lettings, property management, block management, BTR design advisory, bespoke financial reporting, valuation services, market intelligence and capital markets support.”

It’s headed up by newly appointed Connells Group private rental sector director James Thornett, who says: “Connells Living is set to be a game changer in the private rented sector, and will provide investors with a one stop shop service to support running a successful PRS business.

“There are huge opportunities for PRS investors at the moment and, by combining Connells Group’s comprehensive range of service lines, geographical coverage and unique data and research capabilities with the financial strength and robust corporate governance that comes with being part of the wider Skipton Group, our clients will be able to reap the benefits of this growing market. I have thoroughly enjoyed helping to shape the Group’s new proposition thus far, and look forward to working closely with investor clients on this market- leading offering.”

Jon Notley, Connells Group commercial director, adds: “Due to the size and breadth of Connells Group, Connells Living offers an unrivalled proposition to PRS investors, and we are already seeing considerable interest from institutional investors in the sector. As such, we are confident that Connells Living will provide a valued partner to the market as it continues to develop in the years to come.”
