Ethical lettings agency reveals new website

Clyde Valley Lets - which describes itself as an ethical lettings agency - has unveiled a new website as the organisation grows following an acquisition during the Covid period.

The Motherwell-based agency started, under a different brand name, back in 1996 serving the Clyde Valley Housing Association and Clyde Valley Property Services and first ventured into the private rental sector in 2010 with the purchase of 10 flats.

Since that time the private lettings side of the business has expanded substantially with new build developments across North and South Lanarkshire which increased its portfolio of owned stock to 120 properties.

Then in 2021 it acquired a local lettings agency that increased the portfolio to include 50 properties owned by private landlords that Clyde Valley Lets now fully manages. In the same year it rebranded as Clyde Valley Lets.

It has a management board of six with varying experiences in the social and private sectors.

In describing itself as a social lettings service, it says it offers traditional services to landlords “but with a social purpose” to offer homes that are a safe and comfortable environment for people to live in.

The agency says: “We have access to colleagues’ expertise in tenancy sustainment and a team with a wealth of experience in how to navigate the benefits system. This means tenants and prospective tenants who could have otherwise been unable to access or afford the property or who face challenges to sustain their tenancy in the mainstream private rented sector, can be helped.”
