Another small rental portfolio snapped up by Lomond

Lomond has acquired the rental portfolio of a lettings agency operating in Greater Manchester.

Lomond snapped up the lettings book of Harvey Scott’s offices in the Cheshire mill town of Bollington last year - now it has acquired the rest of the agency’s rental portfolio.

No figure has been given as to how many properties this acquisition adds to Lomond’s portfolio; it already operates 14 offices in the north West - Thornley Groves, Julian Wadden, and Matthews of Chester.

Lomond says it has “approaching 8,000 properties under our team’s management” across the region, compared to 2,400 at the end of 2020. Nationally the agency group has some 40,000 units under management.

Chief executive Ed Phillips says: “Our footprint across the North West continues to expand, growing our position as the leading agent in the region. With huge market reach and an enviable reputation, the addition of a respected and long-established brand such as Harvey Scott, enhances our position.”

“The past 12 months have been not just another year of growth for Lomond, but also one of consolidation as we integrate and optimise all our new businesses seamlessly into our group.”
