Demand for rental properties has reached new levels after a record number of tenants moved into a rented property in September.

Last month, HomeLet referenced 41,100 applicants for rented properties – a 17% increase in volume from the same time last year, and a figure never achieved before.

Since July, HomeLet has carried out more than 110,000 references.

The firm, which has had to take on 81 new members of staff in the last six months, also says that rents for new tenants have risen by 8% since the beginning of the year.

John Boyle, managing director, said: “With demand for rented properties at an all-time high and people still struggling to purchase their own home, HomeLet is currently moving around 2,000 tenants in the UK every day.”

I'm moving away from Homelet as their referencing service has been poor of late. But what is the tenants insurance fiasco you speak of? I planned to continue recomending their insurances but I havent heard anything about unfair contract terms? Is there something I should know!

This explains why Homelet's service is useless, they should either recruit more people or accept less business!
Not a good time to be shouting about volume when the service is so poor, and hot on the back of the Tenants Insurance fiasco.
How long before we are forced to refund Homelet tenants insurance premiums due to Homelet's unfair contract terms?
