Competition for the coveted ESTAS is set to the intense as entries reach record levels. For the first time, letting agent entries have overtaken the number of estate agents’ entries and are running at 58% of the total – a sign of the times.

Already nearly 400 firms overall have registered for the competition and over 7,000 votes have been submitted by their clients.

“Now until February 2012 is the perfect time for agents to contact clients they have worked with during 2011,” says Simon Brown, owner of the ESTAS.

“It’s a great way to touch base with customers in a relatively quiet period and reinforce an agent’s commitment to quality customer service.

“Agents are also starting to think about their marketing strategy for 2012 and how they can differentiate themselves from the competition. Being part of the ESTAS gives agents an immediate USP they can build on over the year”.

With votes expected to exceed 30,000 the ESTAS provide a powerful marketing campaign for any agent taking part.

Sales and letting agents can enter the ESTAS until December 31, and clients have until the end of February to register votes.

The best-rated agents will be shortlisted in 14 regions across the UK in March. Winners will be announced at the ninth annual ESTAS ceremony at the Hilton on Park Lane on Friday, April 20.

The ESTAS are sponsored by Zoopla in association with HomeLet and the RICS.
