New property education packs make life easier for consumers and the industry!

Kate Faulkner who runs the education company Designs on Property Ltd has secured the support of Channel 4 Homes to create the UK’s first property project packs.

The five Property Guides are carefully targeted at First Time Buyers, Sellers, Renovators, Tenants and those that want to Make Money from Property. Thousands of the packs are expected to sell through websites such as www.channel4.com/homes and www.estateangels.co.uk as well as at property shows across the UK.

Kate Faulkner, Founder of Designs on Property and author of Which? property guides says “If you are a First Time Buyer there are 75 things you need to do to successfully purchase your first home”. According to Kate, most First Time Buyers turn to friends and family for help and although this can be useful, the market changes so fast, as does the law, up-to-date expert advice is required at every stage to help them successfully buy their first home.

Channel 4 said"We have helped the nation to buy, sell, build and invest in property through TV programmes and channel4.com/4homes. We hope this will be a useful tool, offering people valuable information on how to carry out property projects.”The packs allow limited advertising from property companies keen to support property education.

The 4Homes packs will retail from £14.99 to £19.99 and as well as lots of top tips, checklists, templated letters and indepth advice on how to carry out each property project, the price includes one to one help via email or phone.

“Putting a decent roof over our heads is one of the costliest things we will do” says Kate “so it is vital to know what to watch out for, how you can do to save money and also when you need to pay for good advice.”

The packs will be available from the end of January 2012
