The website of a prominent anti-letting agency group has disappeared, suggesting it may be the end of the road for the ACORN campaign.

The protest group made a name for itself last summer with a series of activities in Bristol and a claim that it wanted to meet, discuss and engage with property professionals in its campaign to improve the private rented sector.

The group at one time claimed over 1,000 supporters in Bristol alone although a protest last summer could muster only a small number of enthusiasts plus a local Green councillor, and a fancy dress Halloween trick or treat' protest saw only 70 turn up.

This came after the campaign staged some heavily-publicised visits to agencies in Bristol to ask why fees were levied on tenants rather than landlords. The Piper Property and Besley Hill letting agencies in the city even attended a local public meeting last summer.

However, Letting Agent Today's attempts to contact ACORN via the campaign's former email address have been unsuccessful and the organisation's website is no longer shown on a Google search.

interesting use of the Acorn office as a cover shot. Not really one and the same, but I fell for the clickbait...
