A new interactive map that outlines all of the existing and planned landlord licensing schemes in England and Wales has been launched by the National Landlords Association.

The interactive map provides landlords with a picture of local licensing, including the fees payable for any mandatory, additional or selective schemes in their region.

It also outlines where proposals for new schemes are currently under consideration, as well as listing NLA contacts.

One of the newest schemes approved by a council is in Hartlepool, where the local authority this week backed a five-year selective licensing scheme covering an estimated 544 properties in 13 streets, as well as agreeing the start of a process for a possible second scheme covering more streets.

The council claims the selected streets were put forward on the basis that they each had 50 per cent or more private rented properties, with 15 per cent or more of those properties involved in recorded incidents of anti-social behaviour.

The NLA map can be found here.
