This is the first of several posts covering the subject of average rental prices, the data used has been taken from the properties let by Lettingweb on a weekly basis, and can be used to show trends in rental prices from year to year.
For the week ending May 6th 2012, the average rental prices for Lettingweb properties were:
· One-bed flats averaged £470 per month in rental, an increase of £8 on the figures for the year before.
· Two-bed flats averaged £656, a 10% increase on the equivalent 2011 figure of £593.
· Three-bed flats averaged £868, a similar 9% increase on the equivalent 2011 figure of £796.
· Four-bed flats showed the most dramatic increase in average price, with a 17% increase in price from £1164 per month in 2011 to £1358 per month in the week ending May 6th 2012.
