An independent letting agency has sealed a £1.8m funding package to help accelerate its growth strategy of expanding its branch network and developing a sales service over the next three years.

Linley and Simpson - based in Leeds and covering Harrogate, Horsforth, Ilkley, Ripon, Roundhay, Shipley, Wakefield, Wetherby and York and well as Leeds itself - has secured the £1.8m from Santander's Breakthrough Programme, which helps regional companies.

The agency was founded by Will Linley and Nick Simpson in 1997 and has since grown and acquired to reach its current 10 branches and 100 staff across Yorkshire.

It is now the largest independent letting agent in Yorkshire. The founders aim to use the new funding to double the size of the business over the next three years through the acquisition of letting agencies, as well as developing the sales side.

The funding will enable us to expand our management portfolio through a more focussed acquisition strategy and accelerate our growth plans explains Linley.
