The RLA is among a number of organisations invited by the Home Office to a meeting in March to discuss strategic partnerships aimed at getting landlords to help tackle cannabis cultivation.

The organisation said that its Landlord Advice Team often fielded calls from private landlords affected by criminals with cannabis farms.

Among a number of concerns is the fact that private landlords can be affected on two levels - as some insurers do not provide coverage for damages caused by alterations to properties to accommodate lights and other growing facilities.

The RLA said that the Home Office was keen to engage with the organisation due to the extensive work it had undertaken previously.

This sounds like it is from an area where there is a War on Civilians/Drugs. The true villain, in this case, seems to be the insurance company.
