What will agency look like in 2030? PropTech firms think they know…

Five PropTech firms have linked up to produce a so-called White Paper giving a glimpse in what they think the agency industry will look like by 2030.

The five - Spectre, Sprift, Focal Agent, Viewber, and Assured Sale and Progression - are responding to an initiative launched three months ago to create #EA2030.

The document is brief and, perhaps unsurprisingly, promoting outsourcing work to third party PropTech suppliers.

Collectively the five companies say they envision a ‘specialised property professional’ - one agent who utilises technology to achieve more, including valuations generated without having to leave the office, world class preparation for every valuation appointment, engaging content to boost their online identity, viewing availability, and proactive communications with buyers and sellers to achieve faster completions.

Heather Staff, co-founder of Spectre, says: "Estate agency is undergoing a digital transformation and I’m really excited to be a part of where the industry is heading.

“I believe all agents should be embracing available PropTech to streamline their processes, drive more business, and ultimately remain competitive in their local market.”

And Ed Mead, co-founder of Viewber, adds: "#EA2030 is about supporting sales agents with powerful, proven tools to use when they need them. This sort of closer cooperation between like-minded successful businesses is part of a more flexible future."

The White Paper is a relatively quick read and you can access it here.
