Deposit Alternative service announces major new partnership

Deposit alternative service flatfair has announced that its the first to integrate with The DPS.

The integration will mean flatfair can offer both its traditional deposits product alongside its No Deposit service on its software platform, allowing agents to offer tenants a choice. Flatfair then manages the deposit process, whichever option the tenant chooses, ensuring compliance with the Tenant Fees Act.

The platform automates the traditional deposit process, and claims to offer agents “a speedy process as well as the certainty of a protected deposit.”

Flatfair says that since its product launch a number of agencies - it names Breckon & Breckon, Beals, Castledene and Boydens - save up to 60 minutes of admin time per deposit, saving on referencing costs and reducing the risk of non-compliance.

The DPS managing director Matt Trevett says: “We’ve managed millions of deposits across England and Wales since launching in 2007, and throughout that time we’ve regularly developed and enhanced our services to improve the experience of tenants and landlords.”

Meanwhile co-chief executive of flatcar Gary Wright claims: “It is great to now be integrated with DPS for flatfair Deposits, and is an exciting step in the continuation of our mission to make renting simpler for everyone involved. It has been great to see many agents benefiting already, and I look forward to providing the same benefits to many more”
