Lettings tech platform Goodlord has launched an integration with The Deposit Protection Service (DPS).

A statement says the integration gives letting agents the flexibility to choose their preferred scheme while managing deposit registration and tenancy progression within a single, connected workflow.

The DPS is one of the UK’s largest government-authorised tenancy deposit protection providers, offering both custodial and insured schemes.

Through the API , agents using Goodlord can now register and manage deposits directly, without switching systems.

Tom Goodman, Managing Director at Goodlord, says: “Agents are under increasing pressure to balance compliance with efficiency. The API with The DPS removes a key point of friction in the lettings process.

“For the first time, agents can manage tenancy progression and deposit protection across all three major schemes within a single platform. It’s a significant step towards a more streamlined, fully connected workflow and reflects our commitment to giving agents, landlords and tenants everything they need to rent better, in one place.”

And Matt Trevett, Managing Director at DPS, adds: “The DPS is constantly looking at ways to improve the digital journey for all of our customers throughout the tenancy lifecycle.  This is another step in our continuous commitment to sourcing and providing technology solutions.”

The integration comes as a recent Goodlord report found that 76% of agents say the amount of admin involved in their day-to-day work is limiting.

Agents say that the admin and compliance burden associated with their roles accounts for a fifth (20%) of bottlenecks, slowing productivity and growth.
