Countrywide Residential Lettings has announced the acquisition of three more businesses.

They are Cryers in Southampton, plus the well established lettings portfolios of Hootons in central Bristol and Ashley & Peck in Brentwood, Essex.

The purchases take the total number of lettings businesses acquired by Countrywide Residential Lettings to seven this year.

Cryers, originally set up by Michael Cryer in 1973, specialises in student accommodation.

The staff are to remain with the business. Michael Cryer will remain involved during the transition process but plans to retire.

The Hootons lettings portfolio has been transferred  to two Countrywide branches in Bristol.

Hootons, managed by Clare Hooton, will continue to trade as commercial property business.

The Ashley & Peck lettings portfolio is now managed by the Bairstow Eves office in Brentwood.

The Ashley & Peck sales department has been retained by the owners David Ashley and Antony Peck, but the lettings team have transferred over to Countrywide. 

John Hards, co-managing director of Countrywide Residential Lettings, said further acquisitions are due to complete over the next few weeks.
