haart has a multi-million pound strategy to become the “largest independent lettings agent in the UK”.

It made the revelation after acquiring Northampton-based Hamiltons.

The family-owned lettings agent, founded by Kay Willoughby in the early 1990s, has been run jointly with her daughter Charlotte for the last few years.

haart purchased the business for an undisclosed fee after Kay Willoughby announced her decision to retire.

haart has recently lettings companies in Bristol, Croydon and Plymouth and has further acquisitions in the pipeline.

Andrew Benn, managing director of haart lettings division, said: “We are delighted to have acquired Hamiltons and look forward to providing a great service to both landlords and tenants as we continue towards our goal of haart being the biggest and best independent lettings agent in the country.”
