Lettings franchise chain Martin & Co has launched a new marketing campaign to target the accidental landlord.

The campaign will promote a consistent message across the Martin & Co network about the benefits to home sellers of renting out their property and using a dedicated letting agent.

The target audience Martin & Co will be focusing on is the home owner who has had their property on the market for a long period of time.

The campaign will tell them that they can have ‘tenants in their house and money in their pocket’, and will steer them clear of using the estate agent who has been trying to sell their property.

Vendors will be told: “Estate agents can often get distracted and concentrate efforts on trying to sell your property. In the current market, if they are unsuccessful at selling your property, don’t let them fail twice by using their lettings department.”

Out of 23 local agents there are just 2 who only do lettings. What does this tell of the management team of Martin?

Must have come from the same school as Grant Shapps - no brain but a big mouth.

Empty vessels make the most noise!

Incidentally don't M&Co offices also sell houses - many of them certainly used to. So presumably the advice is if they have failed to sell your house go to a letting agent but not the same office as they have already failed you !!

No instead go to Martin & Co and use a lettingt agent whose franchisees have been caught with their hands in the till - several times (that are known so far).

Boy I cannot wait to see the EA world's reaction to this!!!
