A landlords' body says Ombudsman Services Property, one of the three redress schemes available for letting agents to join, has now agreed that all landlords can use its services.

The Residential Landlords Association says that all landlords can now complain about Ombudsman Services member agents, and access is no longer limited to only small consumer' or accidental' landlords.

Now that Ombudsman Services Property . [has] agreed to extend access to their scheme for all landlords, the RLA has ensured that all the schemes are now on the same footing and allow full access to landlords to request redress says a statement from the association.

Membership of a redress scheme became compulsory for agents and managing agents from October 1 last year.

The three schemes, from which each agent must join one, are Ombudsman Services, The Property Ombudsman and The Property Redress Scheme.
