Who are you and what does it say on your business card? Jack Reid Founding Director of Orlando Reid

In your experience, what is the key to running a successful estate/letting agency? Constantly improving your services, making the process as enjoyable as possible and marketing yourself and your brand well.

What is the modern consumer looking for in an estate/letting agent? They are looking for an innovative marketer, someone who can really show case their property.

How have agents had to adapt to the Covid-19 pandemic? Health and Safety has become at the top of our agenda. Learning how to work from home, in a face to face business has had it’s challenges but with all of the new prop tech out there, you can view, make an offer and move into a property from the comforts of your home.

What are your thoughts on PropTech – is it helping agents to be more efficient? Virtual viewings, video tours and 3d Tours have become standard. If you’re not doing them, prepare to be left behind. Plenty of other amazing PropTech tools out there as well.

What is your greatest achievement in your current role and what made it so special? Securing a contract with Lambeth Council. It was the turning point in our business.

What is the most satisfying part of your job? Seeing a happy, motivated team succeed.

What do you see as the biggest challenge facing estate and letting agents at the moment? Finding the new normal after the pandemic.

What is your property prediction for the remainder of 2021? London is still strong but once the stamp duty holiday ends there will probably be a temporary slowing of the market and picking up at the end of the year. In Manchester the market is currently booming and won't be so effected by the stamp duty holiday. I predict it will stay strong throughout 2021 and be UK’s number 1 go to area for foreign investors.

Country house or city apartment? Definitely country house

Trendy roof terrace or traditional English garden? Traditional English garden

Would you rather be a free-moving tenant or settled owner-occupier? Settled owner - occupier

What is your favourite room in your home? The kitchen of course.

Homes under the Hammer or Location, Location, Location? Location, location , location. It has to be as Phil Spencer presented me an award at the Estas.
