App allows independent agencies to create branded mobile content

A new app created in partnership with a homelessness charity aims to give independent agencies the ability to push properties direct to clients’ mobile phones.

The app was developed by Martin Cooper, formerly manager at London-based Bloomsbury Property Services and Guy Insull, founder of online marketplace platform GlobalNoticeboard.

Twenty per cent of fees for registering properties on the app will be donated to homeless charity Caritas Anchor House, where Insull serves as the appeals director.

The software is free for independent agents to download, from the GlobalNoticeboard website.

According to the makers this enables agents to create their own branded app with their own logo for customers for clients to download, featuring functions including live streamed remote viewings, 360 degree tours, real-time push notifications, automatic booking functionality and real-time discussion with clients via ‘live chat’.

The app comes in over 40 languages for clients to choose from.

“We’re helping independent agents bridge the technology gap that exists between them and large chains able to invest tens of thousands in mobile technology. Secondly, we want to use the opportunity of supporting independent businesses to also help eradicate the homelessness that’s so prevalent in our society” says Insull.

“[The app] opens a door that otherwise would be closed to us and many other independents. It has the potential to fundamentally change the service that independent estate and lettings agents provide to customers” says Cooper.
