LettingaProperty.com has appointed Kevin Neary, ex-GameStop Group managing director and co-founder, as Board Chairman, to help drive the company's growth. This is set to be supported by ongoing investment, planned acquisitions and product development.
Neary has joined the online lettings agency and ‘PropTech innovator’ amid strong investment-led growth and an upcoming SaaS lettings platform launch.
As well as co-founding, growing and eventually selling video game giant, GameStop Group, the firm says Neary has a history of helping fast-growth businesses to scale at pace, by increasing profitability and growing market share.
A LettingaProperty.com adviser since 2018, Neary’s remit will be supporting the firm’s aggressive market penetration strategy and helping to secure further investment.
“I was attracted by the growth opportunity that exists here. The transition from physical to digital mirrors my experience in the video game industry and I can really see LettingaProperty.com becoming a leader in this space," Neary said. "The new platform is tech-led but service-focused, allowing us to interact with our customers on a very personal level.”
LettingaProperty.com counts itself as the longest-established online lettings agency in the UK, helping thousands of landlords to let and manage property since 2008. Its new lettings platform aims to blend innovative tech, industry knowledge and expert support, to provide visibility, transparency and control for self-managing landlords and their tenants.
“Kevin is a real difference-maker, with strong ideas and commercial insights. He consistently challenges us to push the business forward and we’re doing just that – achieving massive revenue growth during the pandemic, while expanding our team. We’re so happy to be taking this journey with Kevin on board. We are energised by his involvement and the possibilities ahead,” LettingaProperty.com chief executive, Jonathan Daines, said.
Along with the appointment of Neary as Chairman, LettingaProperty.com says it is working with a number of carefully selected advisers within the property industry and beyond, to support its ongoing growth strategy.
