Agency tech company Reapit has revealed a partnership which it says will help agents smooth house moves and earn potential additional revenue.
Working with Just Move In, the partnership helps tenants and buyers manage or arrange utilities, council tax, insurance and broadband, all facilitated by agents.
They can use either Just Move In’s AI assistant or call the firm’s in-person team.
A statement says: “The partnership also addresses a major operational challenge for property managers, change of occupancy and void periods.
“Just Move In’s platform can reduce change of occupancy admin by up to 90%, saving property managers an average of 19 hours per month by automatically managing utility notifications and supplier updates when tenants move out.”
The company says this is particularly important following the Renters Rights Act, which allows tenants in England to give two months’ notice at any point during a tenancy.
Void periods are now less predictable, making it harder for property managers to plan workloads and increasing the risk of unpaid or disputed utility bills between tenancies.
Looking ahead, the partnership says it will also support the development of a more connected, end-to-end customer experience through new AI-driven home setup and concierge capabilities.
Reapit general manager Steve Richmond comments: “Moving home is one of the most demanding points in the customer journey, and an area some agents have left to movers.
“Today’s tenants and buyers expect more, while agency time is at a premium.”
And Just Move In co-founder Ross Nichols adds: “We’re an AI-native business, and that’s how we deliver genuinely personal support at scale – automating the admin behind every move, while our team handles the moments that need a human touch.
“By partnering with Reapit, whose software powers more transactions than anyone else, we can reach more agents and their customers at exactly the right moment.
“Our services help movers set up essential services quickly and easily, with no effort from the agency. At the same time, we’re giving agents a way to earn additional revenue, enhance their service, save time and build stronger relationships that last beyond the move itself.”
