Spicerhaart introduced its enhanced area manager structure 18 months ago, designed to give each manager responsibility for a focused group of offices.

A lifelong caravanner who has travelled the length and breadth of Britain with his family, Prescott will now be clocking up the miles to coach, mentor and develop teams across the region.

Previously, Prescott ran his own independent estate agency in Chester city centre for 17 years, covering both sales and lettings.

He sold the business to Leaders in 2017 and remained with the company for a further four years before joining Connells, latterly as an area manager covering Chester and the Wirral.

He says: “My approach is based on supportive coaching and mentoring.

“I want to help branch teams develop their confidence, overcome challenges and progress in their careers, while delivering an excellent service to landlords and tenants.”

Andy Townsend, Spicerhaart lettings area director, comments: “The model has been hugely successful because it gives our branches more immediate and practical support.

“Area managers can be in regular contact with their teams, identify where support or training is needed and coach people to improve both performance and customer service.

“This is also important for the talented people coming into the business through the Spicerhaart Academy.

“We want them to see a clear career path and develop the knowledge, confidence and understanding they need to succeed in lettings.”
