Buy-to-let lender Landbay is hosting a webinar this week to look at interest rates and forecasts for the UK economy. 

The webinar will be led by John Goodall, chief executive of Landbay, and will feature Kallum Pickering, chief economist and deputy head of research at UK investment bank, Peel Hunt.

It will take place online on Friday October 2 at 11am.

Pickering leads Peel Hunt’s analysis and forecasting across the UK, US and Eurozone economies. He has more than a decade of experience in macroeconomic research, is a columnist for The Daily Telegraph and is a regular contributor to Bloomberg, CNBC and the BBC.

During the webinar, he will offer his latest assessment of where Bank Base Rate could go from here following this month’s decision by the MPC to hold rates at 3.75%.

He will also review prospects for UK economic growth and the potential impact of sustained increases in oil prices on inflation. The session will also consider what advisers should be looking out for when the Chancellor delivers the Budget at the end of October.
