Documentary maker and former Strictly contestant Stacey Dooley is a guest on a new rental sector podcast launching this week. 

She will appear on Home Again, a new podcast from flat-sharing website SpareRoom. 

“What does home mean to you?” is a question Home Again’s podcast hosts explore with every guest, including documentary maker Stacey Dooley – who has not only found her dream forever home, but has stayed in dozens of other homes dramatically unlike her own all over the world.

Also appearing will be BBC Radio 1’s Matt Edmonson. 

The format is simple. After an ice breaker, guests pick three homes that have shaped them and explore how they’ve contributed to who they are and what they’ve achieved. 

Home Again’s co-hosts are Matt Hutchinson, who has been SpareRoom’s official mouthpiece for more than 20 years, and SpareRoom social media expert Ella Chisholm.

Hutchinson says: “Home is the most important thing in our lives. Where we live, and who we live with, profoundly affect how we feel about ourselves. Our homes ground us, centre us and fuel our sense of who we are as people at the deepest level.

“Yet so many of the conversations we have as a nation about housing end up feeling like they’re really about affordable people storage and we forget to talk about home. So we wanted to explore and celebrate what ‘home’ really means to people and how where we live shapes us and becomes part of who we are.”
