I am thinking to rent out furniture etc and give free guest accommodation into the bargain. Remember Darley Dale Furnshings and the pound of carrots with free furniture when Sunday trading law prohibited opening

I once had a notice for having 9 letting rooms and no licence. Unfortunateky the house only had 8 rooms including bathroom, kitchen, cellar and through lounge. Perhaps they had counted the outside privy at the bottom of the garden. I've had their letter framed.

Earlier you say that CGT will have to be paid within 30 days of completion yet later you advise to “to cover the CGT liability before the sale is completed as 30 days is not very long”. When the sale is completed you should then have the monies from sale which cover the CGT or are you thinking that people will sell without receiving any money. In any event it’s the government getting the money sooner rather than later.
