Website launches £100 'viewing assistant' service for renters

The Movebubble digital rental service is launching a 'virtual assistant' facility - a person who will use a scooter to attend viewings undertaken on behalf of a prospective renter.

The service will operate in London only and will be offered at £100 for four viewings, which will be undertaken within a total of around an hour.

A live video feed will be given to the prospective renter via Movebubble's app - which will carry the feature from next month - allowing tenants to ask questions and request particular concentration on parts of the property that they consider most important.

If the would-be tenant agrees, the virtual viewer can submit an offer on their behalf.

Movebubble chief executive Aidan Rushby told the Sunday Times: "We've found that the average Londoner spends more than 60 hours searching for a property each time they move."

The newspaper says for an additional £49, Movebubble app users will be able to watch viewing videos submitted by letting agents as well as past viewings undertaken by the virtual assistant service.
