We are family – new agency smashes targets in first six months’ trading

A family-run property management and letting agency, launched at the start of the year, has doubled its year one target within six months.

Littlefairs Property Company, located in York, is already managing more than £35 million worth of rental property and has more than 180 properties across North and West Yorkshire on its books.

In January, the agency set a target to manage 90 rental properties within 12 months, a target it has doubled in just half the expected time.

The agency says it is now aiming to manage 400 rental properties by the end of 2020 and plans to employ at least two new team members to service this additional business.

Littlefairs was founded by brother and sister combination Scott Littlefair and Donna Sanderson, alongside their father Richard Littlefair.

The trio previously owned Letters of Distinction, a sales and letting agency in York, before selling up to Countrywide three and a half years ago.

"It’s been great to welcome so many clients, both old and new to the business," says Richard Littlefair.

"Landlords have been particularly impressed with our open lines of communication, and the fact we deliver on our promises within an agreed timeline and budget – it’s this high level of customer service that has attracted so many of them to switch."

Scott Littlefair, who is the firm's managing director, adds: "Our business model has been set up to accommodate a fair fee schedule for landlords."

"By keeping our costs as low as possible, we offer landlords a very competitive rate of between 4% and 10% of the monthly rent, depending on what level of service package they want, ranging from a tenant find service through to a fully managed service with legal and rent protection."
