Historic agency merges with chartered surveying firm

The Herbert R Thomas agency, known as HRT, is merging with Rawlins & Madley.

The two South Wales firms announced the merger on their websites.

HRT offers rentals, sales and commercial consultancy, and is already actively involved in the promotion of a number of significant residential development sites across South Wales, combining the company’s longstanding traditions of representing landowners, with the current appetite in the market for development.

A statement from the firm says: “By merging with Rawlins & Madley, we see an exciting opportunity further grow this area of our business whilst ensuring that the clients of both firms continue to receive uninterrupted, expert advice. The experienced commercial team are available to provide advice on acquisitions and disposals, residential and commercial development, office, retail, industrial agency, commercial valuations and property auctions.”

Meanwhile Jeremy Rawlins and Paul Madley - the men behind Rawlins & Madley - have more than 80 years combined experience as chartered surveyors operating in south Wales, and will operate as consultants.

Herbert R Thomas was established in 1926 specifically to provide professional advice to the agricultural and rural community of Glamorgan – a role it continues to provide to this day.
